A man with a heart of gold and a real pleasure to go out with. He is the perfect mix of fun and knowledge. When his great love Corrie passed away in 2017, Hans' dream grew to find his own place in South Africa. In 2022 he found this dream place by accident. He sold his house in Den Bosch and bought the beautiful game lodge Vaalkrans in his beloved South Africa. Hans comes to the black continent for decades and knows the customs and sights like the back of his hand. In addition to being an ideal host, also an ideal tour guide.

The room was very clean and had all the necessities. We really enjoyed our stay and the overall experience was one for the books. From check-in to check-out, I have nothing negative to say. The lodge house is spacious, well designed with quality materials and finishes. The place is ideal for a romantic getaway or for a large group. From lazy morning walks, game drive, chilling by the pool, late night braai to star gazing. For each his own. Photos don't do this place justice. This place is excellent! We would stay here again, easily!

With Air Belgium you fly directly from Brussels to Johannesburg. Air Belgium also takes vhourly weapons and ammunition intended for hunting or sport, but only accept them as registered luggage. The weapons must of course not be loaded - with the safety catch activated - and must be properly packed. The transport of ammunition is subject to OACI and IATA regulations, which stipulate, among other things, that the ammunition may not be packed together with the firearms. It must be sent by e-mail to Air Belgium at least 7 days before departure and costs 100 EUR/journey.
